Fogarty and Jones Present The Bachelors Resurgence Tour
Albany Town Hall Theatre
8:00pm Friday 5th & Saturday 6th March 2010
The ever-popular Bachelors return to Australia to perform their hit songs I Believe, Ramona, I Wouldn’t Trade You For The World, Charmaine, and many more. The Bachelors, with seventeen hit records in the UK charts throughout the 1960’s and selling millions of records around the world, became one of the top acts, both in recording and stage entertainment.
In 1964, they were probably the biggest record sellers, showing for an amazing 77 weeks in the UK charts, plus reaching number one with titles “Diane” and “I Believe”. Many hits followed throughout the world, plus hit singles in the US billboard charts with “Diane” and “Charmaine”, and many successful albums. The Bachelors enjoyed great success through the seventies to mid-eighties until they disbanded. After reforming in the mid 1990's, founding member John Stokes believed that their market was with a mature audience and their songs would stand the test of time. He set out to do a complete makeover. With the help of the very talented Kevin Neill, formerly with the group of international renown, “The Karl Denver Trio” and Jonathan Young, they have taken The Bachelors to a higher level.
The Bachelors are once again one of the top acts in the UK, and in high demand for leading theatre and cabaret venues. News of The Bachelors newfound success reached as far as Australia, and in 1998 were invited to tour. Such was the reception that they have returned to Australia almost every year since, and will start their 2010 tour in Perth in February.

Magpie is injured in a bushfire but she discovers that riding atop her friend, one-eyed Dog, as he runs through the bush, feels almost the same as flying. "FLY, DOG, FLY! Desire, loyalty and friendship become confused and after an exhilarating ride, Fox dumps Magpie far out in the desert. Abandoned and alone Magpie begins the long journey home.
